Far to the west of Coniston there's a place called Miterdale. To the south of the river, far up the valley, is Boat How, a pretty decent Watchtower Rockish sort-of-place. From that vantage point you can see Burnmoor Tarn, a good Trout Tarn double. And, to the left of that tarn in the linked photo, there's a valley. Fairly flat floored, with a waterfall at the upper end, and a river running through it, here's as good a Swallodale as I think you'll find.

Certainly, when I'm asked to direct the film, "Swallowdale", I'll be using the north end of this place. :o)
