The speed of light is of course 186,000 miles/second.
A weirdly memorable number- my dad taught it to me when I was really tiny and I can't remember ever not knowing it.
If you want it in metric you'll need to do the conversion yourself...
That's one of those oddities- at 300,000 km/sec, it's a nice round number. And at 3.10^10 m/sec, it's so easy to keep track of the zeros. Proof, if any were needed, that God works in metric.
