I don't know if it has been covered before, but there is a fascinating site called Broadland Memories.(Link below).
Have recently purchased one of the DVD's they produce about a couple of cruiser holiday trips in the 1930's. Fascinating viewing – but, unfortunately, it appears to be only available to UK addresses. These sights would have been very familiar to AR during his holidays in the area.
