Thank'ee Adam......oops, slipping into PoB speak.

When I was small we lived at Shotley, my father was at Ganges like Cdr Walker, and Harwich was largely unchanged from AR's day except that the steamers no longer went to Flushing; but there were still yellow-funnelled night boats and Dutch day steamers with striped funnels and the white-hulled Danish boats, and of course the little harbour ferry scuttling back and forth. Felixstowe Dock was still the same quiet place where Jim left Imp, before the container port got under way. The trouble was that I was too young, hadn't read AR, and didn't appreciate it.........
