I get a lot of hassle from my American wife about my use of English - often something I learnt from AR provides her with a good shot across the bows - English is not English it is a lovely mess
As I said to my daughter's kindergarten teacher the other day - I out the trunk in the boot for a fortnight. She asked if that was English, the Welsh teacher behind her said 'yes".
