I'm not sure how to respond to this thread (now it has moved on from train travel) but feel some response is needed.
Since discovering TarBoard I have taken more interest in AR and the books as the years have gone by, I have learnt much, and yes disagreed with people (both in postings and in my mind!)
But I'm always impressed that some books written 80+ years ago are still being read and are not 'dated' and they provoke such interest and discussion. Sometimes it is quiet here, and you think there must be nothing new to say, but somebody will raise a point or a question that makes you realise there is more to be considered and pondered over.
Some comments here make me think that all is not well in some parts of the AR world, I hope I am mistaken.
They may not be many postings sometimes but when there is I realise I'm not the only one who checks TarBoard at least once a day every day.
Lastly, my apologies if this post seems disjointed but it is written as a direct reaction to what has been posted before with little consideration for coherence or English!
