An interesting article, even to the likes of me - my only knowledge of boats and sailing come from reading AR!
Curious you should mention the Altounyans, clearing out some cupboards over the week end I came across a video of the TV programme about AR in the Awfully Big Adventure series from the BBC. Watching it, I'd forgotten much of it but in particular the interviews with the Altoynyans and some of the photographs of AR's wife and daughter.
