I was lucky enough to be able to examine Mavis after the removal of the thick glass-fibre/fibre matting that had been plastered on by Earnest Altounyan, leaving bare wood. The craft was in a terrible state with rot everywhere and pieces breaking off if you so much as looked at it (so to speak).
If Dave Thewlis would be kind enough to post for me, I will be able to show three pieces that I picked off the floor that day. The wooden planking has been tidied up by sawing off the splintered ends.
