In thinking back about the use of knives, a few instances came to
mind.

John and Nancy had a file on each of their knives, which was
used by Nancy to cut a bar from an old iron fence to make a rod
from which to hang the kettle in the Igloo, and used by John to
cut a similar rod from another old iron fence to make the cross
bars on which to hold the crucible in Dick's Blast Furnace.

Roger got his as a reward for learning to swim.

When the Amazons attacked the Swallows' camp on WCI, Peggy had
lost the ship's knife which the Swallows found, and then returned.

Dick found a knife in the Dogs' Home, which turned out to belong to
Jackie. Later, Jackie showed them how to gut the fish they caought
by guddling.

Dick used a knife to gut the rabbit and to help remove the skin.

Dick used his knife in PP to get a pinch of gold dust to test, and
to try to cut open the ingot he made using the blowpipe.

Dick used his knife to cut some plant material to put in with his
catapillar collection.

The Death&Glories used knives to prepare the eels before smoking them.

John used a knife to make firebrooms in PP, and to make snow brooms
to sweep off the ice from the tarn so they could gractice ice skating.

Susan used a knife to cut the loaf of bread after spreading on the butter.

Titty used her knife to mark blazes on the trees to show the way to
the charcoal burners' camp.

John used his knife to prepare a stake with a slit in the top so he
could post the claim to the gold mine.

Captain Flint used a knife to cut up the chicken at the North Pole.

I made the bove list just from memory before creating the collection below.

It turned out that there were many more places where knives were used.

Remember this listing shows individual lines, taken totally out of
context, having no connection with other lines shown next to it.
