Knowing it was humour, it really *is* a nice bit of humour. I regret missing it at the time.
Ed: Whew! You are a treasure, indeed. I just spent a good while looking back through PD to find the bit about CF's guns, to see if calibres were mentioned --mostly I was thinking about the shot that knocked out the lamp aboard Swallow, and how anything from a large calibre rifle would have blown her rail to splinters. I should have just come to you!
