Thanks for posting those, Richard. They're great. When I was there with Rob B in late-2009, the door was in place but the bottom of it was badly rotted, and many slates had slipped or gone missing from the roof.

I understand that the restoration work has been done by Parks people at the insistence of TARS members, but I stand to be corrected on that. The downside is that it looks very bare at the moment with all the greenery cleared away for the work.... This is how it was when I was there. Still, that will all no doubt grow back, and its temporary absence doesn't weigh in the balance against having the work done.

By the way, I was amazed at how high the roof is inside. Even making due allowance for the dirt floor's having worn away a bit in the last eighty-odd years I still have trouble imagining the Ds slinging hammocks from the beams!
