This implies that the window was once glazed. Surely we can't expect the Forestry Commission to omit glass panes and in effect "recreate dilapidation" so that the hut looks like the broken-down one in PM? It surely has to start off fully repaired. What happens to it then is up to fate, but the Commission owns many such buildings, classed as 'bothies', so it is used to dealing with them.
(Incidentally, a proper lock will no doubt be fitted, but I'm sure local Tars will add the appropriate 'bit of string'. I doubt if the Commission will notice that.)
