Thanks- that's a nice picture. Presumably, when AR was staying at Bank Ground Farm, he'd have walked up the field to Lanehead, and that's how he would have seen it as he approached. Obviously, minus the ramp which I imagine was added when the council bought the house.
I find it very enjoyable to see those 'everyday' scenes which do add to my enjoyment of the books.
