Roger:
The critical book for Beckfoot is PM. The several drawings from that book provide the real basis for dimensions, along with the words in PP that describe the place.
Ed and I spent several enjoyable months talking about Beckfoot and I have an AutoCAD drawing - somewhere of our efforts. I meant to put an article into MM about Beckfoot and then got last in other topics at the University.
There are several critical issues to resolve with the house, but the most critical ones are the locations of the doors relative to the chimneys, and the location of the "main front door", I suggest that the end of PM tells us it is on the side facing the road.
If I remember correctly someone pointed out a famous painting of a house that looks like Beckfoot - Welsh museum or something is my vague recollection of the website - if you compare the background I think you can conclude reasonable that AR stole the image for part of Beckfoot.
I will have to hunt out the drafting I did and put it up somewhere. Unless Ed still has the images?
