Which chimneys do you use as datum points? Those on p65, p115 or p263, as they are all different, bother it!
p196 The Ds stand in the Beckfoot gateway and see light from the stairs and the front door, but this does not seem to help as they could see both east and south-facing walls.
p252 suggests to me that the front door is where AR drew it on p263, as rattletrap turns into the yard they know the GA is not on board as they would otherwise have stopped at the front door?
I'm interested in anybody's solution to the puzzle!
