I have a 1st of the Big Six (1940) and 2nd too (1941) the paper quality of the 1st is far better, I also have a Missee Lee 1st from 1941. All of them have better paper from the editions of the 1950s and 1960s, I assume the better paper was stocks in store at the start of the war.
