It exists in the collection at Abbot Hall in Kendal and was published in Ransome the Artist. It is one of hundreds of preliminary sketches that Ransome made. Ransome the Artist contains more than 90 sketches and paintings, some in colour.
Copyright law prevents the sketch being posted on Tarboard, but The Ransome Estate have given permission for it to be emailed to those who have been posting on the subject of Beckfoot and Dave Thewlis will email scans.
