When I first saw and entered Bank Ground, it was rather different to today. For me, it WAS Holly Howe, but time has played tricks with the building etc and I doubt it does much colouring for first-timers today. Perhaps the reverse. The setting, of course, is still glorious.
It makes sense that it should have changed, but the 'Swallows and Amazons' view on the Bank Ground webcam always, for me, strikes a note of warm recognition; I can see Roger tacking up the field towards the gate at the top, where Mother is standing with the telegram...
