Swallows and Amazons film

Somebody on the Facebook page linked to this young actress doing her Nancy Blackett show-reel.

I wish her luck, but does anybody know if this is actually from the screenplay? I'm not too much of a stick-in-the-mud when it comes to film adaptations (I'm coping with the Hobbit...) but I'm not sure about the Swallows falling into a pit on Wild Cat Island, or Captain Flint being engaged in secret government work, nor a suspicion of John being a spy...

Or should I just not worry about it, considering it's so long since we've heard anything about the film?
