It's a wonderful idea, Owen and would make a terrific book. I have wanted to do a book of 'AR the Photographer' ever since I had the run of the drawer full of thousands of prints and negatives.
Unfortunately, you would have to be wealthy enough to be able to afford to lose a lot of money on the project.
Leeds U would require a sizeable repro. fee for every image, plus the charge for providing that image. In addition the Executors would require a fee for every image published — £150 from memory. I guess 50 images would not leave much change from £10 000.
The end of the Net Book Agreement has done for books like mine. Master Storyteller, my most expensive book, brings in 75p a copy and the others less.
