The link below tells of Cardiff University acquiring vast amounts of W.G. Collingwood's books/letters/diaries from Janet Gnosspelius.
Is anyone planning to mine this collection for Ransome references?
I haven't found an online catalog yet. I was hoping there would be a list of: how many letters from who, what titles of books, what years of diaries...
It is possible there are some thrilling accounts of Collingwood/Altounyan/Ransome picnics on Peel Island with never-before-seen revelations...or perhaps there are several mundane references.
If no-one else is already doing so, I may email the Head of Special Collections and Archives, to find out what can be accessed, by who, and what there is. No point duplicating work though.
