Indeed, the main full page illustrations always looked entirely 'AR'-like, just AR on a very, very good day. The only one that looked to me as though it might be by someone else is the chapter-end sketch of George Owdon pursued by William. It has a completely different feel and style from all the others. But unlike you, I haven't seen all the material.
