The idea of Nancy as a puppet does not resonate with me at all. I see her as a pure Energy Force, dressed up to appear on Earth as a young girl. You don't have to be in the presence of this Energy Force to be affected and governed by it - e.g. in WH. AR implanted this Energy Force halfway through SW, probably because he thought it was all getting a bit dull (a mistake in my view, but that's an old controversy). Peggy is just a pale reflection of this Force, like the moon is to the sun. The tragedy of GN? is that this Force was nearly spent, like a dying star.
