Sorry, I meant to reply to this in my previous post:
My criticism of GN? isn't really from an adult standpoint- I haven't read it for decades now. I just remember that as a child I didn't like it in the same way as I did the other stories.
I'm aware that some people like it a great deal, but also, from this forum, that an unusually large number of people feel as I do. And I think it's interesting to discuss why this might be so.
