Arthur Ransome enthusiasts remember Pamela Coleman Smith as the person who taught AR the Anansi stories as recounted in Bohemia in London. I didn't know anything about her; certainly not that she was a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn and illustrated the Ryder Waite (Smith) Tarot Deck amongst other things. These are also the only pictures of her that I've encountered. She certainly seems to have belonged in Ransome's Bohemia.
