In addition to preserving the special quotes that we remember and enjoy, other reasons for collecting this list were to provide an enticement for potential ATR browsers who hadn't really read the S&A books to do so, and for those of us familiar with them to find our memories tugged to return to one or another of them. So I would answer your question "yes".
