Will check the NZ National Library copy on Friday, it is the 1912 Stephen Swift reprint. The details will be in Wayne Hammond’s very comprehensive AR bibliography, which I have to detour to the Victoria University of Wellington library to see. I suppose that the US/Canadian edition was set up differently, as (comparing the contents pages) the pages starting each chapter are mostly different:
Chapter 1 p1 (US p3 ie +2)
Chapter 2 p11 (US p15)
Chapter 3 p29 (US p33)
but Chapter 14 (Old and New Hampstead) is p229 in both editions.

PS: Apart from condensing chapters, Swallows amd Amazons for Ever (Red Fox pb) omits 7 chapters from BS entirely (11,16,17,21,22,24,31)
