As my original post became garbled thanks to my tablet her it is again -
We're spending a couple of days at The Pier hotel in Harwich, our room has a view across to Shotley. Yesterday was a mostly sunny day ending with a short thunderstorm around 8.00pm but by 10.00pm the pavements were dry again and the lights of Shotley helping to light up the view from you room.
At 3.00am this morning I looked out once more with just the lights of Harwich, Shotley and beyond to see.
I was woken up at 6.00am by the blast of a foghorn, looked of the window once more to see the Holland ferry arriving and little else, the fog preventing even a glimpse of Shotley!
Life imitates art, but what surprised me was the speed, just as AR describes in WDMTGTS!
