My local (large) bookshop, in the UK, always has at least one paperback copy of each book of the series in stock (and some of the hardbacks). These take up approx. 2 -3 feet of shelf space - a fairly large percentage of the "middle-aged-children's" section).

A smaller branch has no hardbacks and SA, plus a smattering of the other titles, in paperback.

I would interpret this meaning that SA still sells in farly large numbers (parents buying it for the first time for their children?) and that there is quite large call for the others (or they wouldn't spare the shelf space).

We need a bookshop insider to give us more scientific info!
