The company have not said anything that addresses our fears for the outcome but instead have used such words as 'compelling and energetic' in their explanation. For most of us, I suspect that SA74 was both compelling, thanks to David Wood/AR/ER, and thanks to a brilliant musical score, also energetic.
I am, perhaps unfairly, reminded of being told by John Bell that he and Sir Rupert Hart-Davis (the original executors) had refused permission for films of Peter Duck several times, as it was clear from the proposals that the result would be Americanised or Disneyfied.
On the face of it, Mike's Famous Five's comparison seems a fair one.
