I was looking at those yesterday in the little bay at Low Peel Near. Guess that photo (15062903brown_howe.jpg) having been zoomed in on from across the lake at Brown Howe. Never thought of it being solar panels on the metal framework, didn't look that way closer up. Just south round the headland they had one large generator. Whilst we were there a runner turned up in a 4x4 towing another huge one.
The framework looked more like camera mounting rig to go over boat when roped up to filming pontoon or somesuch.
