1. One can take political correctness to far. Having to explain to ones children that things were a little different at other times is not a bad thing. When I started reading SA I wondered where the name came from because if was outside my ken and I did not know of Titty and Tatty - I just thought it was some perverse Englishness.
Of course that reminds me when our Minister made a mistake in the readings and had a young lady read out the section on obeying husbands - by the time she finished reading you could hear a pin drop - he recovered.
PC - Interestingly - and it would come as no surprise to this august board, but a young lady said to me the other day that I was just nicely and slightly politically incorrect - the way some women like a man. I am only quoting - please do not hang me
