Let us write a letter to the editor:
Dear Sir:
It is with some sadness that I report the untimely demise of Titty Walker from the Swallows and Amazons Series. It appears that the Trustees of the BBC have no idea that modern youth and elder gentlemen have seemly coped with Miss Titty Walker in Swallows and Amazons since 1929 without resorting to any form of antisocial behaviour, other than sailing and drinking cups of tea at social events.
Can I ask the Leader of the Trustees to intervene and save one of the greatest character names in English fiction.
