Just to clarify my comment on the Arthur Ransome Trust website, referred to by Roger.

The movie has a number of producers, representing different production companies and investors and other interested parties. BBC Films is one of these, but a non-exhaustive list of the others include Harbour Pictures, the British Film Institute, Hanway Films and Studio Canal, who will be distributing the movie in the UK. All will have been consulted over whether to change Titty's name, and what to, and each will have contributed their own perspectives and preferences, as indeed the Estate had and argued its views.

I referred to "producers" collectively because they ended up making a single, collective decision - as, of course, they have to for all such issues if they're to succeed in producing the film. As such, I don't feel it would be appropriate for me to comment on an individual producer's or producing organisation's specific views or preferences, especially as any of those I'm aware of will have been presented to the Estate in confidence.
