I have a Vietnamese friend who assures me that you can wander into the forest and build your own house with no permits needed, no tax or any requirements to satisfy local authorities. She doesn't like Canada because of all the taxes that keep mounting up. Sounds pretty good to me. If the D's lived in the dog's home in this year of grace 2015, somebody would roust them out or claim unpaid taxes.
