As for the 1963 television adaptation, I remember it well, but... the only thing that I can remember in detail (even after watching the clips that are available) is the name change for Titty! I just couldn't understand it, which, unfortunately shows what a rather innocent 10 year old I was!
Did people speak like that then? Maybe not in the real world but certainly on television!
