The PD illustrations show no davits at all, but the ones on the starboard side holding Swallow could have been matched on the port side. But why did CF not bring Amazon, which belonged to the Blacketts, down to Lowestoft rather than the Jackson's Swallow?
It just goes to show that characters should not be allowed to take over from the author when it comes to writing books.
