I thought I'd already replied on this thread but obviously not. People have noted a lot of "typos" in my Kindle books which is odd because it came from the same corrected proof copy that the paperback and hardback versions come from, which do not have the same errors. It appears to be an odd "read error" as the files are converted. The main issue on mine tends to be absent gaps (so "we are" might be come "weare" but I've noticed similar errors to the one you've mentioned here (see to sec) in other well-known successful books. It suggests to me that instead of simply converting the text it reads the text as an image and then turns it back into text. No idea why...
