Ah well I meant that in a certain way. I do love my Kindle's ability to take 2000 books with me on holiday, up a mountain or even up a tree. It's great to search through a whole library at once and find a quote. Very handy for reading in a queue at the hairdressers etc.
But what items do I want to OWN, to DISPLAY on my walls, to GLOAT over and take pride in? To sit down in a snug chair and enjoy for hours on end? Real paper books.
Ebooks are a modern convenience...highly useful, but not quite "the real thing". However, I strongly advocate owning both types, and it can be done on a budget.
