The hot drink machines produced a uniformly foul brown liquid - many believed it made no difference whether you pressed 'tea' or 'coffee'.
That reminded me of a well-known line from Douglas Adams:
"He had found a Nutri-Matic machine which had provided him with a plastic cup filled with a liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea."
