What sort of motor would be used in a 1930s motor launch; Petrol-powered or some other fuel like kerosene (paraffin). I gather that for tractors, launches and fishing boats other fuels were cheaper than petrol and avoided the paperwork in claiming fuel tax back for off-road use.
Sammy the policeman and the Flushing pilot used manpower ie rowing – not many outboard engines in use in the 1920s & 1930s
