I'm always interested when AR mentioned other books, inside his own books. No surprise that he reads Hans Anderson, of course, but the Book of Birds now... could that be the same one Dick Callum uses?

This page mentions it is a little book, and later on a large book by Morris is mentioned as "Book of British Birds".
