Subject: TEA BAY

During the parley, where the Amazons first met and got acquainted
with the Swallows, Peggy is explaining what they did prior to their
surprise attack in the Swallows' camp on Wild Cat Island.

-----------------------------------------------------------
P110, Chapter TEN, Swallows and Amazons

Peggy Blackett went on. "We came here to-day to look at you
again. We got up at sunrise and sailed close by the island, and
there was no smoke and we saw your ship at the landing-place.
We sailed on to Tea Bay and had our second breakfast there, a
real one with tea. The first was only cold porridge and sandwiches
we got from cook last night. Then we crawled along the shore
and saw one of you coming back from somewhere in your ship.

----------------------------------------------------------

I did a SCAN for "tea bay" (ignoring case) on all five lake books
and this is the ONLY hit I found. Of course if "tea" is on one
line, and "bay" is on another, then the SCAN will not find that
incidence.

I have no hard evidence of this, but I have felt that it COULD
be that the TEA BAY, used by the Amazons for their second break-
fast, could be the same location that the Swallows used to load
up on wood for fuel for their campfire. It seems to be just
south of Shark Bay (or Dixon's Bay if you like), which seems
to match the Amazon's description of Tea Bay, but there could be
several of those bay-like indentations along that shore, so I
cannot PROVE that these two bays are the same one. It is
just a FEELING, hardly evidence.
