Andy,
It seems to me that the people who have been most influential in applying the theory of the value of labour have been the Communists. How was I insulting anyone by re-stating a well known fact? If you don't agree, just treat it as an uninformed opinion. Try attacking the opinion instead of the writer. You have fallen into the trap of the ad hominem argument.

Many of my students - and my wife - were forced to get out of China because of those practitioners of the labour value theory, so I speak with a fair amount of vigour. As to advocating giving someone a bloody nose, if you read the relevant posts caefully you will see that it was Peter R. who suggested, in reply to a suggestion from Peter H., he would give me a bloody nose if I came over to England. This was prompted, I imagine, by a resminiscence of mine, when, as a schoolboy new to Canada, I had to encourage some of my contempories from calling me a Limey by applying a couple of jabs to their prognathous chins.

Well, it's been quite a week. Threatened by force, sworn at, misquoted, and now lectured. Let's drop this now. If you write any more, I refuse to be baited and will not answer. This is no place for angry words about Communism, or any other practice, opinion or belief. We're here to share views about AR and his works. Let's stick to that. Oh, by the way, I still stand by my opinion, like it or not.
