I found the books when I was eight and no longer the youngest.
I've been many times to the Lakes in the North and sailed my own small boat into the harbour on Wild Cat Island. Norfolk Broads too under sail and motor.
Now I have my own five ton cutter and sail in Secret Water and all the other rivers and East coast. Favourite trip is still from the Orwell (Pin Mill) to Flushing though not by accident.;) It's amazing how little it has all changed.
The Magic is still there and it will wait for you until you can discover it all for yourself.
