Hi Mary, Welcome to Tarboard and we hope to Tars soon. Very interesting
to read your comments. As AR said himself, books should not be written
for any particular age of reader but should be written for the author's own
amusement or interest. So anyone of any age would enjoy reading a book if it is
about things that interest them. Ransome fans are aged between -8 -80 + if
you see what I mean. I wonder whether you have read We Didn't Mean to Go
to Sea. This is a wonderful story of tension and adventure and there is a
very good reading of it on tape by Gabriel Woolf which you can get through
Tars , when you are a member and also lots of other
Ransome related books. Gabriel Woolf has also put PP and WinterHoliday on tape and is slowly
working through the series So there is a treat waiting for you when your studies
permit you.
