In Picts and Martyrs, we find that Sammy and Billy Lewthwaite's
mother was Mrs Blackett's old nurse. The Lewthwaite home is
within walking distance of Beckfoot, as Billy is sent for on foot
to come and drive Rattletrap for the GA.

There is no mention of this house in any map that I can see. I
get the feeling (not exactly knowledge) that the house is south
of Beckfoot along the lake road, but probably somewhere between
Beckfoot and the turn off to go to Craig Gill, which itself is
about half way between Beckfoot and Swainson's Farm. However, it
could just as well be west of Beckfoot, on the road that
eventually leads up to High Topps by Tyson's. This is the road
that goes up by the Farm at Watersmeet where Jacky lives. It is
apparently up that road is where "Nook Farm" is located, where
the Doctor had gone when Nancy started having a sore jaw in
Winter Holiday. Incidentally, there is no indication of where
that "Nook Farm" is either on any of the maps of this area.

Not saying that the actual location of these places is all that
necessary to know, but, their being missing is perhaps just
another one of the minor puzzles AR leaves to us.
