Thus seems to be the case from Capn Flint saying in SD that he carved Ben Gunn into the cave wall thirty years ago implying an approx age of 10 in 1900.
Whereas Molly Blackett's memories in WH of the Great Frost would indicate she would have been of a similar age in 1895.
There is no indication that Jim has detailed memories of the Great Frost.
