I have heard that bookies fear the 'pretty colours' type of punter far more than the 'form experts' - they are the ones who land a 25-1 shot because they just like the horse's name. However, I take Andy and Andrew's points. If you have to categorise AR's characters into sociological compartments, then yes, I suppose BB was 'officer class', and for that matter so are Capn Flint and Timothy. And of course John and Roger will be. And G Owdon (who is not an oik). And Jemmerling. And naturally, Jim Brading. Oh, and Tom D. In fact is there anyone who is not 'OC'? Death & Glories, I suppose. Where the hell does all this get us?

PS Andy B - Mixed Moss is nowt to do with me any more. I bailed out last March!
