It looks as if my fairly long posting has failed to get through, and I didn't save it...

In summary my points were,

In most cases I'm familiar with the Webmaster is responsible for technical and layout matters: content comes from those that know (e.g. PeterH on the role of the literary executors?).

Woll solicits comment on and updates to the FAQ, and provides an e-mail link: why isn't it used?

FAQs, by their nature tend to be static. In fact the last update to the AR FAQ was August 2002 and not four years ago. I've suggested to Woll that he updates the FAQ layout to reflect changes.
